It seems the main concern lies with Pinnacle Ridge or TDP support. The 2700X draws a massive 105W, and HP’s cost-cutting VRM design might fall short. This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed HP restricting CPU performance intentionally.

More chances for e-waste are disappointing. It’s frustrating when you invest in an OEM prebuilt PC and face limited upgrade options or unusable components for future projects. HP supports up to 65 watts. It won't run most top-end CPUs.

It really looks like it only supports APUs, but I'd go out on a limb for a 3600X and cross the fingers. 50% chance it'll post.
