Hey everyone! I'm facing a problem with my computer's RGB lighting. The motherboard is an Asus Z370-E, and even after turning it off, the lights keep shining. I want to know if it's possible to stop them completely only when the PC is powered down, so they turn off automatically when I shut it, but still stay on when I use it.
Turn off the power supply using the switch on its back, and the RGB will stop working. The 5V continues to run through the PC even when it’s off but still connected, which is sufficient for the lights to operate—this is the intended purpose of keeping the 5V active while unplugged.
The control panel is situated at the rear of the machine beneath a desk, making it difficult to access; therefore I'm looking for a different approach.
You can achieve this using the Aura software or within the BIOS Advanced > ErP ready section under Advanced > Disabled (this will also turn off other optional settings)
This would also turn off the lights when the PC is running or only when it's off?
In BIOS Advanced, go to onboard device setup, then RGB lighting, sleep mode, and select "off."
