Besides sanitizing the slot, reinstalling the BIOS, and confirming the card functions on another machine, I’m feeling quite stuck.

It seems there might be a misunderstanding about the issue. A damaged CPU shouldn't prevent the GPU from showing up at all, but if it does cause problems, it could affect performance or stability. Checking with another motherboard might help confirm whether the hardware is functioning properly. It’s not necessarily a waste of time unless you’re certain the damage is affecting display functionality.
