Since no new programs launch at startup, I aim to remove the display adapter driver from AMD and replace it using Windows Update.

It appears the issue is more complex than anticipated. Although Windows displays during startup, the AMD High Definition Audio Device sometimes fails to appear and produces no audio through the DisplayPort connection. Restarting temporarily resolves the matter.
