Windows sometimes fails to appear on startup. This issue has been occurring recently, and turning it off and on often resolves it. Your system version is 10.0.26100.6584 with the most recent updates applied. The AMD display adapter driver is 31.0.21923.11000. I searched for similar problems but didn’t find useful solutions. Any suggestions?

Yes, it functions properly on Windows alone.

I don’t turn on BIOS with every startup, though I’m confident it functions. The high drive activity suggests a Windows issue.

What I'm trying to ask is, do you have a black screen from boot to (and including) Windows, or do you only have a black screen when reaching Windows?

Display only a black screen upon launching Windows, despite occasional brief visibility of the boot logo and the startup sound.

Attempt to boot from a USB drive and fix the BCD. If unsuccessful, enter safe mode and check if the problem continues. Alternatively, perform a drive scan to resolve any file errors.

Safe mode appears functional and the drive scan shows no issues. You can proceed with using the USB installer to fix the BCD.

There are numerous guides available for this task. Just ensure accuracy when entering data, as fixing BCD manually can be frustrating if errors occur.

I noticed an issue where access is blocked, so I may have to rebuild the BCD manually. If that doesn’t work, consider using external tools. Since this is my current setup, I’m concerned about needing to reinstall Windows.

If you can start in safe mode, the issue may not be a corrupted BCD file but rather a driver or startup program problem. It could help checking Task Manager and turning off any programs that launch at boot. After trying again, if problems persist, removing and reinstalling drivers one by one might fix the matter.
