Don't worry about the price, I'm not limited by a $5 cap. I'm here for any feedback you'd like!

You no longer require EA's servers. Google indicates "Emulator Nexus" as the codename for "Bad Companion" or "Project Rome." The backend was reverse engineered long ago. The BF3 version is presently in Beta. [Project: Venice] A standalone server can be found on typical torrent platforms and runs smoothly on a dual-core machine with a solid connection.

The VIP map pack became available for all users, especially on PC. The provided link is merely a video preview and doesn’t require purchase.

Really? That sounds nice. I might consider getting them. They seem to be the top BF's ever created. BF3 marked the beginning of a decline.

The BC2 servers remain active, so you don’t have to rely on the Emulator Nexus version at this time. The issue arises if you start with the official EA servers and later move to the emulator Nexus; then you’ll need to create a new soldier or join servers where all weapons and gadgets are unlocked. Some servers support double or triple XP, making it easy to resume play. Just add your soldier’s name to Emulator Nexus in case the EA servers become unavailable. Changing servers involves placing a small file in your game folder, which links you to EM instead of EA.

BF4 is made from BF3+BFBC2+BF2, though noobs find it hard to appreciate. I’m not sure about BFBC2—I’ve played it for 600 hours and it was a real treat (actually discovering such a game was exciting). After spending three weeks waiting before inserting the CD, I kept playing my first FPS COD-WAW, which quickly pulled me in (it made my interest last just two weeks). I didn’t believe it at first—how could an epic game be just a short, linear experience? Maybe nostalgia, its grandeur, or my tendency to impress others while exploring new things. The real experience might be different from what I remember.
