Discussing the power cable for the CPU.
Which processor are you running? Typically I only connect one 8-pin CPU power cord, and it supports continuous up to 226 watts.
So just one 8-pin CPU power cable is more than enough. The 7700x reaches its limit at 120 watts when PBO is on, leaving you with about 100 watts from that single cable. I only use one 8-pin with my own 7700x. In theory, you could run two 7700x cables from the same power source.
The cable extensions are outdated. Could you share the brand and model of your PSU? If it's a modular unit, you'll need replacement cables.
