The motherboard has both 8-pin and 4-pin CPU power connectors. Using just one 8-pin cable might affect compatibility, but it shouldn’t drastically change performance if the connection works properly.

Which processor are you running? Typically I only connect one 8-pin CPU power cord, and it supports continuous up to 226 watts.

So just one 8-pin CPU power cable is more than enough. The 7700x reaches its limit at 120 watts when PBO is on, leaving you with about 100 watts from that single cable. I only use one 8-pin with my own 7700x. In theory, you could run two 7700x cables from the same power source.
