The Phlog received a buff but remains the least powerful flamethrower overall. Its damage penalty was minimal from the start. Immunity was reduced, making Pyro harder to counter—Taunt couldn't be used easily and crit time increased. The latest patch shortened immunity duration, allowing demos to secure advantages before Pyro even moves, though it wasn’t that hard before. Spending over six hours, I succumbed to Phlog around five times while playing Soldier, Demo, and Med. It’s puzzling why everyone finds this Pyro weapon so easy to counter. Are they truly weak? The Targe nerf was harsh but justified. Demoknights are strong, and half-knights are even better. With Loch n' Load, Targe, and Eyelander, I could rack up 20+ killstreaks effortlessly, whereas a standard loadout demands more work to match that output. Skins are gaining traction since CS enthusiasts confirmed their effectiveness.
