You have the ability to adjust both voltage and turbo power settings. You can turn off the PL2 power cap entirely. To meet your needs, select a target output of 35W, 65W, or 100W. You can set the default turbo duration to 28 seconds or lower it so the CPU operates at minimal power—down to 0.0010 seconds—before switching to PL1. Intel processors offer this level of adaptability. The author of World Today News appears to be missing this information.

Do you have an idea of which settings will give the best performance from your CPU? I own an MSI Gaming WiFi Z490 motherboard, which might be useful. I’m also using the GSKill Trident Z and plan to only adjust the RAM timers slightly, raising them to 3600 since it’s already at 3466. I know RAM can influence CPU stability.

For optimal performance, configure PL1 and PL2 to 4095W. To save energy, adjust both power limits to 65W or lower. Using ThrottleStop allows me to modify these settings while still in Windows. With this tool, I don’t need to restart to update power limits or CPU speed.

i inquired about the optimal method for undervolting without reducing pl2 values or completely cutting them. exploring various approaches is possible, aiming for minimal performance loss while maintaining close to the original output. this balances the need for efficiency with preserving stability.
