The information you're referring to varies across different operating systems and configurations. There are distinct task manager applications in various distributions, each with its own interface and settings. Some offer unified panels while others present separate options. The issue you mention seems related to a specific KDE Plasma version, possibly involving grouping or categorization of windows. It might be worth checking the official forums or bug tracking systems for KDE Plasma to see if similar suggestions have been made. Implementing such changes could involve community input and may take time depending on the project timeline. Screenshots could help clarify the exact setup you're dealing with.

The only option I had was to attempt the setting of that particular applet by right-clicking it; it seems unavailable otherwise. For future inclusion, consider submitting a feature request via the KDE bug reporting channel. I've observed that you can access an icon and then see a "windows-like" preview, but if that's insufficient, there’s no available solution at the moment.
