Discovering Fresh Games and More …
I'm working on Alien Isolation so far. It's been pretty good.
Yeah... they’re great, but they often take a long time to finish since I can only play for about an hour before needing to use the restroom. Also, there’s something else that looks interesting – The Forest is in early access and could be a good pick if you get it when it’s on sale.
Based on what we began with, you might enjoy Gone Home. I don’t usually judge games by how long I can play them; it’s more about how engaging they feel. Personally, I spent around three hours trying it out without any prior experience and really liked the exploration and story-building. I’m currently finishing Alien: Isolation, and I think it’s a great pick for anyone slightly interested in Alien or solid realist sci-fi. It’s not necessarily horror-focused—it leans more toward suspenseful stealth, which some find unsettling. I’ve been playing about 30 hours of Alien: Isolation so far, mostly because I spend time hiding and listening.
It seems Alice: Madness Returns is worth checking out; I really liked the game despite its somewhat pretentious nature and the need to know when to stop. Also, if you haven’t played Spec Ops: The Line, it’s definitely worth a try. Even though military shooters might not appeal to everyone, the story and narrative are among the strongest, encouraging deeper reflection and leaving a lasting impression.
Murdered isn't great, honestly. Have you explored older RPGs? Lots of people forget them, which is sad. Morrowind, TW1, perhaps even Oblivion, Wasteland 2 (and maybe 1), Baldur's Gate 2, Fallout 1 and 2.
