Yeah, I’m not having any problems with YouTube on Mint XFCE. I used to get screen tearing in Firefox videos on Mint a while back, but that seems to be resolved now—especially on my laptop with the i5-4200U.
You're not familiar with Mint, but Bazzite is essentially an Atomic Fedora. I don't have any problems using YT on Fedora, and I regularly watch many videos in my browser. What browser are you using? (For the YT app, GrayJay works well.)
Firefox with ublock origin installed. Among the 100 Linux Mint machines I work on, I haven’t faced those issues. If the “edgee” refers to Microsoft Edge, what are you expecting? Why would you need an MS application?
This appears to be solely a web browser problem affecting the YouTube video player display. We understand it seems normal for others to experience it without issues.
