YouTube on Linux seems problematic. Consider relying on third-party tools. VacuumTube works well as a TV interface, but adding custom add-ons isn't possible. What alternatives exist?

I handle it typically by setting up Firefox and adding extensions like UBlock Origin and SponsorBlock.

YouTube on Linux seems to have some issues lately. It's not working perfectly, which can be frustrating when you're used to it.

Even with the edge, it wasn't too strange. Of course, I'm using a different distribution, but it worked well for me.

Check flathub and type "tube" to locate the open-source client. You can also browse on Discover. Your browser works just fine, including Firefox, which might be missing a codec.

It might be due to improper management of the latest AV1 format from YouTube.

On mint and bazzite, the lower portion of the video turns black when you hover over it, it loads slowly, and there are other issues.
