I attempted to install my AMD Ryzen 7600 separately using the manuals and a video from Linus. I kept the socket protector in place and made sure the arrow matched the motherboard. However, when I pulled the lever, I experienced significant resistance. There was a loud crunching sound, and it seemed the protective cover had twisted the CPU slightly to the right during removal. I hesitated and stopped the build, avoiding connecting it to power. Now I’m unsure whether I can proceed or fix it. I’m worried about further damage if I power it on now. I shared a picture with friends, but they thought my alignment was correct; I sent another image with notes about the issue.
