CPU removal optional if concerned. Capturing a photo of it in the socket offers little insight. No bent pins detected—proceed safely. Expect resistance and a distinct crunching noise during installation, which usually means pins are properly seated.

It’s typical for a little dryness after multiple installations. You likely don’t need to reapply the thermal paste unless you notice significant performance drops.

You should reapply thermal paste regularly. While some believe a single reseat suffices, three applications are not recommended. I always use fresh paste each time. Make sure to remove any dried or old paste before applying new one—dry paste isn't ideal. You can check your temperatures with HWInfo64 or HWMonitor at idle and under load using tools like Prime95 or Cinebench (latest version). If you're unsure about CPU temperatures or safety, share the results and we'll advise whether it's acceptable.
