I started with a 3700x that didn’t perform well. After some adjustments and returning for a replacement, I ended up at Best Buy, which usually carries Amazon and Newegg products. The 2700x dropped in price significantly. I also edit videos—travel, cycling, skiing—and I’m really pleased with my 8-core/16-thread CPU. The steep price reduction was too attractive to miss. There’s definitely better power efficiency and performance with the Ryzen 3000. The 2700x is performing well right now, matching the capabilities of the 2600. Its value and features make it a strong choice, particularly for gaming and other tasks beyond games. My main gaming rig uses a 9900k/2080ti, so I’m used to that setup. I use the 2700x in a 1080p configuration and it works perfectly. I’ve never faced CPU limitations before, and I haven’t had any problems. I play across a wide range—from esports to AAA titles and FPS—and it handles everything smoothly. The 2700x is an excellent CPU and a solid deal.
