I encountered an issue with my PC after reinstalling Windows 10. It doesn’t power off when I shut it down or put it into sleep; only the monitor and USB devices do. The computer stays on unless I press the power button to restart, which then brings it back from sleep or shutdown. I updated the BIOS on the motherboard but that didn’t resolve it. Any advice?

Use Powercfg -h off in Command Prompt, PowerShell, or Terminal to disable the hybrid sleep/fast shutdown feature in Windows.

I’ll restart once I’ve saved my progress, and then check again if it resolved the issue. It did locate some damaged files.
