I removed the RAM and it started up 4 out of 6 times, swapped the slot and it worked 2 out of 4 times, but I still don’t know what’s going on.

It's similar to a board or power supply problem.

Consider whether it's necessary to return the item through RMA at this time.

All other components functioned normally except for the inability to boot, and the Asus board wasn’t displaying any video output. The debug indicators remained hidden until you removed or disconnected it, which delayed diagnosing the issue.

It starts intermittently, around 5-10%, after adjusting cables and RAM, then works fine VID_20220806_182809.mp4

Ensure fans remain connected to power. Unplug cables from the motherboard and graphics card. Avoiding fans may reduce strain on the power supply, helping confirm it operates. Follow Corsair’s guidance, though the 24-pin side is widely accepted. https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articl...upply-unit

The fan's slight movement and return position suggest a power-related concern. Would you like an alternative PSU to verify? If switching PSUs resolves the issue, the problem lies with the power supply unit. If not, the motherboard may have a fault.

Used an original OEM power supply, connected it without a graphics card because there were no available connectors, and it appears to function. However, using the same PSU occasionally causes issues.

It suggests the capacitors in your power supply unit might be faulty. The issue appears to be linked to overheating during prolonged use.

I've owned it for more than a year, though I suspect the problem stems from its V1 model of the v650 SFX, especially with the semi-fanless setting. I'm planning to return it for repair but wondering if it's too risky to use my PC during startup now that you're offering airflow to the PSU.
