The Witcher 3 is definitely worth checking out—it’s highly regarded among players. Many consider it one of the top open-world experiences ever created. Even the less appealing parts can offer some interesting details, like the stories hidden in simple bandit camps.

Playing both GTA 5 and Watch_Dogs has shaped my view. The city in Watch_Dogs seems more vibrant compared to the game I played. The creators aimed to make you feel like part of the urban environment instead of controlling everything like in GTA 5. While GTA 5 offers a wide range of characters, it feels more like a theme park than a real place. Watch_Dogs lacks much interactivity in its city setting; there’s no car customization as in GTA 5, but the atmosphere is quieter and the rain feels colder. Yet there’s a comforting warmth from being hidden under the rain. I’m not sure, but driving around in Watch_Dogs gave me a richer emotional experience than GTA 5 ever did. If you want something closer to real life, give Watch_Dogs a shot. They’re definitely a different experience from GTA 5.

Shadow of Mordor offers an open world with scattered activities, making it a compact yet satisfying experience. The scope is limited enough to suit those who enjoy focused completion, avoiding the long grind seen in titles like Far Cry. Its worth lies more in the Nemesis system and social dynamics than in the open-world design itself. I recommended it because it delivers a strong game without relying heavily on a broad setting. If you're drawn to the vibe of Watch Dogs, it could be a perfect match. The game effectively captures Chicago's essence, though its realism sometimes feels underwhelming.

It lacks depth, and calling it open isn't precise.
