I prefer open worlds that offer engaging exploration and discovery. I don’t want sandbox experiences that feel generic or copied. Games like Skyrim, the AC series, Unity Deus Ex HR, GTAIV, Saints Row, Batman, Arkham Origins all stand out to me. Watch Dogs doesn’t quite match the vibe of these titles.

Feels a lot like GTA and Assassin's Creed in everything else too.

A mix would be more captivating, though it wouldn’t match the level of Tes Worlds.

Watch Dogs shares many similarities with Far Cry in terms of exploration and open-world layout. The game features a city filled with Ctos towers akin to Far Cry's radio stations, and Ctos centers reminiscent of Far Cry's outposts.

World Watch Dogs offers a richly crafted experience that truly comes alive, likely the most impressive aspect of the game.

It's a broad open area with various activities, but it lacks depth. If you didn't enjoy FIFA 4, you probably won't enjoy Watch Dogs either.

It's interesting you enjoyed the open-world approach in Assassin's Creed, yet disliked Far Cry 4's execution. In my view, it's essentially the same pattern—Ubisoft-style open worlds filled with repetitive tasks. If you haven't tried Shadow of Mordor or The Witcher 3, those would be better picks for fans of immersive experiences than Watch Dogs.

Absolutely, it's fascinating how these games craft their settings. The environments in many action titles are designed to be flexible spaces for creativity, with characters that resemble one another to aid navigation. The idea of a fully realized world feels distant—more like a playground than a living place. I find myself drawn to games like Witcher 3 when I have time and a deal, but Shadows seems more like a basic sandbox. Every video I watch shows repetitive combat scenes rather than deep exploration. It’s frustrating when the promise of an open world feels replaced by familiarity and lack of depth.

Give Fallout a shot, using plenty of mods from the course of learning
