i play fortnite with medium settings on a 1024x768 display. i notice a lot of stuttering. my hardware includes a 4gb ddr2 ram, an amd athlon 64 x2 6000+ processor, and an amd radeon hd 6770 with 1gb gddr5. the issue seems to come from somewhere, but i'm not sure where the bottleneck lies. everything is running at stock performance. edited august 7, 2018 by IOSAndAndroidAreGood. note that my cpu and gpu were also running at stock speeds.
Not sure if this is a troll post or not. If not in your case your entire setup is pretty much EOL (End of Life) so you should consider replacing the whole system and moving to a newer platform. I mean with your setup you could pickup a cheap 2200g, motherboard, psu, case, 8gb of ram... and completely smoke your old system in both cpu and gpu performance with the onboard graphics of the 2200g.
The main issue is... everything. This setup is extremely outdated. The PCPartPicker list shows a range of components, but the overall configuration feels obsolete. Prices are shown per merchant, and parts are listed with details like price and source. Everything seems to be from several years back.
I noticed a used PC with 4 GB DDR3 RAM (expandable to 16) and an Intel Core i7-3470 for around 180 euros. Would it be worthwhile to replace your HD 6770 with this setup?
