I've owned the same oak desk for a long time. The whole office/game room needs a thorough clean.
Gaming desks seem worth the effort—they're more affordable than office desks. I'm considering a Homall desk on Amazon. Other options include Ikea Bekatn, Ikea Skarsta, and Veridesk. All should be around 60 inches wide, 27-30 inches deep, and have a 27-inch working height. An adjustable desk would be ideal.
I have two 27-inch monitors and a Fractal 7 PC case, which will be placed on other furniture.
Is Homall producing good quality products?
Are the cheaper gaming desks merely inexpensive, and will they last?
Edit: 60-inch desk, adjustable, $600 budget, 12x11 room.
Solved: Refer to my 2/14 post with the desk from Sam's Club for final details.
Thanks

What items are available from Homall, such as desks and gaming chairs, are considered outdated. Please share your budget for a desk, the space you have, your requirements regarding features, and your general location so tailored suggestions can be provided.

Budget for the desk is up to $600, but I want to save and my home office space is 12 by 11 feet. The Ikea Skarsta is easy to adjust manually and costs around $270.

It seems like this could be a solid choice, receiving generally positive feedback both in professional circles and on Amazon. While I don’t usually pay much attention to reviews unless there are many and mostly similar opinions, there are a few negative points that mainly involve unclear user comments or issues unrelated to the product itself, such as shipping problems or delays. If you're specifically after a height-adjustable model, this might be a suitable option.

Ikea also appears to look decent, and it’s often the case that with Ikea products you get something that feels reasonably good, even if it isn’t exceptional. I don’t typically look for top-tier quality unless I’m targeting a very affordable price range.

However, my expertise in this area is limited because I tend to favor "same oak desk" configurations, especially those that are spacious or L-shaped and not constructed from particle board. I find it challenging to accommodate all my equipment on such a desk, regardless of its size or quality. I prioritize having enough drawers, shelves, and a solid surface. My preferences differ from others, so I can’t always recommend the same setup.

I recently tried a Flexispot desk that I recommended to my sister, who is a school teacher. She needed a space-saving solution for her classroom that wouldn’t take up too much room, and it worked well. She expressed satisfaction with the purchase.

If we’re being realistic, Ikea products likely come from the same Chinese manufacturer as Flexispot, which suggests they share similar quality and features. Either option should offer a reasonable budget-friendly alternative.

I came across a review on CNET about the Flexispot desks. They seemed to like it.
I also saw one at Office Depot for the Realspace Magellan desk.

It appears the Realspace Magellan desk is a topic of recurring feedback across various reviews. From what I gathered, despite differences in presentation, most reviewers highlighted similar issues. Other desks we looked at didn’t seem to share the same complaints, but if you’re considering a purchase, visiting a nearby store like Office Depot or checking out alternatives such as Staples and Microcenter could be helpful. These options let you test the product firsthand, giving you a better sense of comfort and suitability before buying.

I visited Office Depot and used the Realspace Magellan desk, as well as Ikea. The Realspace desk seemed more sturdy than the Ikea options. Thinking more about it, the adjustable desks might be more prone to breaking. I plan to check other desks that allow height adjustment.

I tend to favor this kind of setup now. It's more affordable than a full desk, as you only purchase the top and legs or skip the legs and use two metal filing cabinets.

I also think this concept works well in various scenarios, offering numerous options to save several hundred dollars compared to purchasing a ready-made, disposable alternative.
