Upgrading from the 9800X3D to the 9950X3D offers better compatibility and performance options. Many motherboards support both models without needing multiple RAM sticks. You can enjoy a stable setup with just two DDR5 sticks instead of four, making it simpler and more cost-effective. Popular options like B650, X670, and X870 boards handle these configurations smoothly. You won’t need to invest a large sum in a new motherboard when you’re already using an ASUS TUF B650 PLUS WIFI with your overclocked 9800X3D.

I'll check those links. I'm not upgrading yet—I'm weighing whether to wait until mid-March for 9950x3d or go with 9800x3d now. That's why I need a motherboard that fits both options.

This PC is intended for various uses. You might have seen it on Hardware Unboxed videos, which are a trustworthy source. Techspot summarizes the content from those videos, so they come from Hardware Unboxed.

PC will be used for gaming, AI training (learning about it), AutoCAD, Solidworks, PS, AI, etc. I reviewed the links you shared earlier. It seems the Asus ProArt X870E-Creator WiFi is the only board that supports 10Gbe. I chose this motherboard a few weeks ago on PCPartsPicker, but when I double-checked my list a couple of days later, it indicated incompatibility with the 9950X3D. I’m not sure what to believe or why PcPartPicker marked it as incompatible.

It indicates incompatibility issues for the PcPartPicker. The Asus ProArt X870E-Creator WiFi isn't fully compatible with the 9950X3D, though a BIOS update might resolve it. The board includes ASUS's BiosFlashback, allowing updates without a CPU, RAM, or GPU. Just connect the EPS CPU power connector and 24-pin power supply for a straightforward fix.

Thank you for the video. The screenshot from pcpartpicker indicates incompatibility, but the reason isn't clear.

I think PcPartPicker is confused since the CPU isn't actually released yet. It has no information about it. I can with a 100% certainty guarantee that this motherboard will support the 9950X3D once that CPU is released. The motherboard supports the 9800X3D and this is the same node / silicon as the 9950X3D. If you want to wait until the CPU is released before you buy this motherboard you can check the CPU Compatability list on the motherboards website. Here is the link https://www.asus.com/motherboards-compon...EATOR-WIFI The 9800X3D / 9900X and 9950X are all supported straight out of the factory as you can see the 'Validated since BIOS' says ALL. I would imagine the 9950X3D would also be supported without a BIOS update but as shown above in the video, updating the BIOS is very simple.

If it meets your needs, it seems like a solid choice. Keep in mind the Asus ProArt X870E-Creator WiFi is quite costly when compared to other boards that would perform equally well in terms of speed. However, if you’re already budgeting for a 9950X3D and a 5090, you likely have the means to invest in that setup.
