Tasteless? Flavor is personal, and you’re not aware of the background. It’s been noted that players can discover meaning as they progress. Dead Space 2 featured gruesome mutated children and even infants that would move toward you and burst with corrosive contents—wasn’t it unoriginal? The setting is human settlements in space, so children would be present and likely among the first to fall ill. It was meant to create fear. If they aim for impact, adding younger characters around 9-12 years old would enhance the tension.
Someone might guess it could work. Whether it tastes good or not, people should feel free to explore any topic.
Its the kind of game (very few of them) that I absolutely hate. Like any kind of art though, there is some trash (to my eyes) that some will like anyway. So I am ok for it existing in this world although it is not the right time. Imo it is a bit too early, games are still viewed as catalysts to murders and horribles things happening. The thing is even if I loathe the idea, I will probably try it (pirate it, no way in hell I am giving them any money) to understand what it is. There is no way I will ever complete it either.
Early means it's too soon or before the expected stage. It can refer to content that's inappropriate for younger audiences. You might dislike games with violent themes, especially if you haven't experienced them yet. Many people avoid titles like GTA 5 because of their intense action and mature themes.
