I just set up a new PC configuration with the following specs... AMD Ryzen 3600X, Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 3600 kit (2x8GB), Asrock X570 Phantom 4, Adata 512GB M.2 4TB SSD. The issue is that RAM was running at 2133MHz on startup. I used an XMP profile with just one option to boost it to the rated 3600MHz, but it didn’t boot properly. I then manually overclocked it to 3200MHz, which worked. I’m wondering if I made a mistake since I paid for the higher speed. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Isn't it true that 3600 MHz XMP only works if the RAM you purchased is marketed at that frequency? I think 3200 MHz RAM isn’t confirmed and might be boosted to that rate, which could work or not.
Your message indicates you purchased a 3200 MHz RAM module, which will be used for operation. The CPU model is 3600, not the RAM.
Keep in mind that it's still overclocking; they might claim it runs at 3600, but it's not assured to perform that way. You can always reset it and test a different configuration, though this issue could also stem from the CPU itself.
This setup is really problematic. I aimed for 3600MHz, which should support speeds near 3433MHz or higher. The XMP profile in cpuz confirmed that boosting RAM at that frequency works. However, the BIOS showed changes in voltage when using the profile, but it still won’t boot. Could the Samsung B-DIMM issue be affecting compatibility?
