I believe the biggest risk in this game lies with the language system they mentioned. If it functions well for unlocking NPCs, it’s okay; but if it turns into an obstacle rather than a tool, it could negatively impact the experience of exploring the game world and following the story.
I prefer sci-fi and cyberpunk, not the Witcher series. I’m aiming for a game with stronger combat compared to Witcher.
Witcher 3 offers solid combat within its medieval context, but modern firearms would benefit from a more refined third-person shooting experience. I also wish they avoided options like VATS or similar mechanics from Fallout 4, as those could break the sense of immersion. A balanced approach would be ideal.
That's exactly what I was thinking as well. There are numerous ways this could go wrong... an obligatory multiplayer setup might not work out. However, adding a co-op mode that runs entirely on the client side without central servers would be a great improvement. I don't think anyone I know plans to play this, but I’d definitely like to try it myself.
I mean this clearly. What specific question or point are you asking about?
I mean creating an experience where NPCs react differently based on your language choice, adding variety and depth. I’d prefer characters who don’t speak the same language pack, making dialogue feel more authentic or even chaotic. Including factions and enhancing immersion would make the world feel richer and more engaging.
You're referring to the common feature in many recent RPGs where players make dialogue decisions.
They mentioned a language system already. What I need is to deepen the dialogue experience by revealing characters and stories as you advance. I don’t want NPC interactions to become an awkward "hacking" mini-game—though that might fit the setting, I think it wouldn’t work well in a game.
