I recently started playing CSGO and reached Silver Elite Master rank. I’m struggling to improve my performance despite my efforts. My team tends to be unreliable, mostly Russian players or trolls. Any advice or tips would be appreciated!
Realistically at this level, just focus on shooting; you’ll handle most situations effectively.
I only hear about tough matches: "hell, can't climb up," "top ranks full of cheaters." My tip is: Avoid solo competitive play. You're more likely to lose than win. Unless you can handle yourself or face similarly weak opponents. I stick to 3+ ready-made lobbies. Full-ready is best. I lost patience at GNM, but with premades I entered MG2—just two ranks higher in just two days, and I wasn't carried. Each map landed me in the top three.
However, games still happen when the team is actually strong or skilled. Even if someone outperforms me in my matches, they don’t seem to collaborate or support each other—just shout harsh Russian words when they’re attacked.
