You're experiencing this strange issue where the game suddenly drops to just 1 frame per second, making it unplayable. It seems to happen randomly—sometimes early in the game, other times later on. Usually, it starts within the first few minutes, though it can occur after hours as well. The game runs smoothly at around 50-60 frames per second, but then everything freezes abruptly. I've checked GPU and CPU temperatures, which are normal, and the drivers are up to date. The OS versions you're using (Windows 7 and 8.1) also had this problem. There might be corrupted game files. I've already saved the game twice. I'm trying to finish it and restart to get back to normal FPS, but it keeps happening and I lose progress each time. Any help would be appreciated!

Only Crysis 2 stands out. Though I’m not sure, the performance seems strong enough for consistent play.

Playing it at 720p still works, but performance may vary.

Turn off any power-saving options such as AMD Cool n Quiet. Also, pairing a first-gen mid-range APU with a 970 seems out of place.

Yes, only this game. It used to, when I was using my older 720p Tv as a monitor. Cool and quiet is already out. Also, the setup is a bit mismatched, as I'm waiting Broadwell. I can still snag good enough FPS on 1440p, so I'm not TOO bothered....

Open Windows Task Manager and GPU-z in the background. Observe the next time it falls to 1 FPS while using alt-tab to desktop and examine any unusual behavior during the drop. Look for sudden CPU usage reaching 100%, or if the GPU is limiting performance.

RAM timing issues? It seems you might have tightened your settings unintentionally.

The full details are available. There’s nothing about RAM from characters. And?

Verify if any alternative software is utilizing your processor capacity, adjusting settings, or offering improved performance.
