I plan to assemble a build using the most efficient parts available, along with some existing components.
I intend to use the following items:
- DDR5 RAM 8200mhz (likely T-Force)
- Gigabyte Z790 AORUS MASTER X Motherboard
- Corsair H170i RGB LCD Liquid CPU Cooler
- Case not yet selected
I already own a 13900k and have the Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090.

I have a few questions that I’m unsure about:
First, will the RAM I need require extra or different cooling to run at XMP permanently? Or should it be fine without additional cooling?
Second, what temperatures should I anticipate under full load with a 420mm radiator cooler?
Any further suggestions for the parts mentioned would be greatly appreciated. Ideally, I’d like to try a fully water-cooled system, but I’m worried about how to manage it.
Lastly, often in the specifications section of vendors, they mention supported RAM speeds like 8200mhz OC+, but does the '+' indicate the possibility of exceeding those limits? (Not recommended—I’m guessing that.)

I'm just wondering what the main purposes will be for this new computer.

Well, that's even worse than what I already have.

No, the 7800x3d is certainly a more efficient gaming processor.

Fair enough.
For your initial inquiries:
1). Generally, heavily optimized RAM from the factory tends to overheat and requires adequate airflow. Previously, they offered small fans that fit into the slots. Be very careful when selecting more advanced RAM sets—ensure compatibility with your motherboard and the available silicon options. Each manufacturer provides a compatibility list for their boards. For such intensive kits, avoid any set not listed there. Moreover, these highly tuned kits are much more challenging to run, as the memory controller inside the CPU must support the speed; otherwise, you may face issues like corrupted Windows installations, random crashes, and BSODs.
2). The 13900k will operate between 50-100°C based on the task at hand. For gaming, expect idle temperatures around 80°C, depending on how CPU-heavy the game is. This also relies on the CPU’s default power profile in BIOS; higher power delivery leads to higher temperatures.
3). I previously recommended a different CPU since it performs better across most games. Your choice seems different, so I attached a review comparing the 7800x3d with your 13900k. This is just guidance supported by experience and data—make your own decision.
4). As mentioned in point 1, pay close attention to compatibility and thermal management.

They already possess the processor.
@Geoff Leven
It would have been better to simply remind them rather than having both become hostile and report posts.
