check the capacitors used on the motherboard in the product page. 70A or higher and 12 phase or more indicates a solid build.
suggest using faster RAM modules. recommended options are 5600mhz or 6000mhz CL36.
pick a tier A power supply unit:
PSU Tier List version 17.0g - Cultists Network
this list will assist in selecting the optimal PSU from thousands of available models, covering all price ranges.
cultists.network
review typical read/write speeds of SSDs. a reliable SSD should offer 1000mbps read and 400mbps write speeds.
good options include Crucial P5 plus, WD SN850X, Kingston KC3000, Samsung 980pro or superior alternatives.

When purchasing an Intel CPU, upgrading to faster RAM will notably boost performance in Premiere Pro. I recommend opting for 6000MT/s RAM that fits the motherboard's QVL slot, or following suggestions from other forum users. In my setup, I use two 32GB modules at 4800MT/s on an AMD 7950X system, though significant gains from RAM on AMD platforms aren't always apparent (and it was more affordable in December 2022).

I also advise installing a large CPU heatsink in my video editing setup. I’m using a Noctua NH-D15, but alternatives like the Dark Rock Pro 4 are available. A 240 or 360mm AIO water cooler would be ideal, though dual-tower twin-fan air coolers are also a good choice for around $50. Water coolers tend to be pricier.

Keep in mind the i7-12700K’s maximum power output jumps to 190 Watts when its frequency boost is active, which is much higher than its standard 125W rating. A heatsink rated for 200W should help prevent throttling at 100°C, though affordable coolers with this capacity are limited.

During video rendering tasks, CPU usage typically ranges from 70 to 100%, while GPU stays at 100% during OpenGL operations. I use MSI Afterburner to cap my GTX 3060’s power at 95%, which improves stability in Topaz Video AI. At this setting, GPU power drops from 170W to about 160W.

The built-in i7-12700K heatsink might cause throttling at 100°C during prolonged high-power rendering. On my 7950X, a one-hour video takes 9–11 hours to process. A 1080p to 4K Topaz conversion with 'Rolling Shutter Correction' and 'Reduce Jittery Motions' enabled required 36 hours. During this time, my CPU ran at 140W and the GPU at 165W continuously.

In summary, ensure your video rig stays cool by adding suitable cooling solutions to both the case and CPU.
