CPU-Z issues with i7 6700k
I just built my first computer and attempted some CPU benchmarks in Prime 95 and CPU Z, but noticed my processor wasn't being challenged much. Stress tests showed load never exceeded 27% and core speed stayed at 1.24 GHz. I'm using the default settings and tried adjusting CMOS, but it didn't help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Verify your energy configurations and adjust to high performance, also inquire about your PSU.
Consider turning off the energy-saving options in BIOS, (C states and sorts), to make the processor run at maximum speed and then test again.

You could try turning off the energy-saving options in BIOS, like C states and sorting, to make the processor run at maximum speed and then check again. Sorry, I'm still learning this stuff, but that should help. Thanks for the tip!
Also observing something unusual in Prime95 during benchmarking of each Worker #—Torture Test shows 0 tests run, 0 errors, no warnings. Worker has stopped. I'm really puzzled about this...
Here are some improvements to your message while keeping the same length and structure:

I need to adjust Intel Speedstep, EPU power saving, power decay mode, and Idle Power-In Response settings. Also, set the processor minimum and maximum states to 100% in the cpu power management section of Windows Energy Profile if it isn't already configured that way. Thanks for the help! I'm using Windows 10 and couldn't locate the Windows Energy Profile. Sorry for being such a beginner.
Use Cortana's search bar or look in the control panel for results.
