Hi, I've noticed the CPU usage stays at 100% during Fortnite gameplay. I'm unsure if the issue is with my hardware or if it's just a weak processor. My system specs are: 16 GB RAM, 3700MHz i5-7600, GTX 1060 (6GB). Feel free to ask any questions you have.

Additionally, you're using a 144Hz display, so the frame rate is limited to 144fps.

It seems everything is operating smoothly. The CPU is handling Fortnite efficiently, making the most of its quad-core capabilities.

It's frustrating not being able to hit stable 144 fps in solos. After checking, Ryzen 5 2600 and 3600 seem solid options for their cost. Which one would perform better or cause less bottlenecking with the GTX 1060 6GB in Fortnite?

144 fps can be achieved on a 7600 only occasionally in less demanding setups. For serious gaming, a 3600 might perform better, though this depends on the cost gap. You might also consider the Ryzen 1600 AF or 1600 Refresh, which offers similar performance at a lower price. Be aware you'll likely need a new motherboard, but your fast RAM makes it a great choice for Ryzen.

I've already checked about a new motherboard, turns out it's more affordable than upgrading to a top Intel CPU even with a new board. I was thinking about getting this one but still unsure if it's the right choice.

This item works well if you prefer it. You can find it here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FVYKFXF?tag...th=1&psc=1 This version is more affordable, performs the same function, and is slightly smaller as well. Pick whichever suits you best.

I suggest picking the 2600 for consistent performance. It’s currently a great deal on Amazon. The 1600AF is also an option, but you might want to check its specs before deciding.

It wasn't the original model I was thinking about—the 2600 looks great at the right price. The CPU should handle 144fps now; it mostly depends on your GPU keeping up, though an 1060 works fine for most tasks.
