What kind of thermal paste did you apply? I had an MSI GS66 stealth with identical CPU, used MX-4, and managed to keep temperatures in range... reason. You might want to switch the power plan to balanced rather than high performance, as that would allow the clocks to run at their maximum speeds.

Hi guys, thanks for the responses, yes I am using a cooling fan, and to avoid high temps I am limiting it to 99% CPU usage in powerplan.. I did manage to open the laptop again and this is how the CPU's thermal paste looks like. GPU side thermal paste is solid but CPU side thermal paste is liquidy, is this because the CPU is heating way to much? I checked the thermal paste what I used, it is CORSAIR TM30.
This advice is unfavorable. Opt for the top paste for laptops—Honeywell PTM 7950.
So a quick update.. I replaced with new thermal paste and temps are still high when I am not limiting maximum processor state to 99%. I think the issue is the chip itself which is producing too much heat and the laptop cooling setup is not up to the mark for this CPU. For now I limited to 99% power state and the temps are below 70 so far.
