My CPU is an i5 4570s. On the desktop it runs at about 3.20 and 3.50GHz, but when playing or benchmarking it drops to around 3.19GHz. You're using a Lenovo E73 motherboard, which works well Smile

Open BIOS, make it the default, restart and verify it remains unchanged. If you adjusted settings such as core speed in non-K models, it may behave differently now.

It functions perfectly even in a poorly cooled setup. It increases power only when needed, then returns to its normal operating frequency to avoid overheating. Most budget models from that time act this way, so there’s no cause for concern—just how CPUs are designed to protect themselves.

When I press start, benchmarking hits 3.19ghz and the temperature stays under 55°C.

A power or voltage cap is applied, causing all laptops to reduce their GHz output slightly depending on the number of cores they're using.

It seems you're having trouble reaching 3.6GHz with all four cores. Let's troubleshoot together—check CPU support, thermal management, and any potential bottlenecks.

The main turbo operates at 3.2GHz, but it reaches higher speeds only when the other cores aren't under load.
