I personally didn't bother trying WOW even with a free trial because I realized it would waste my time investing in something I might end up stopping due to the trial limit. I avoided the hassle of possibly developing an addiction by not committing to it.
I focused a lot on alpha+beta, but WoD doesn’t really stand out. Regarding dungeon challenges, it’s more similar to Catas, which isn’t widely enjoyed by most players. They’re not as straightforward as those pre-made or guild-run dungeons—they can be a real challenge in group settings where people aren’t fully committed. For questing, it feels like a collection of 10 Timeless Isles, packed with rare items but lacking depth beyond level 100. You end up stuck in a small, self-contained area, playing games instead of engaging with others. If you miss your friends or guild members, it’s understandable to want something better, but if you’re hoping for something exciting, be prepared for letdowns. Raiding encounters are generally scripted and repetitive, offering short bursts of fun but losing appeal without a strong team effort.
