Hi, today I installed a new internet connection with up to 10 Gbps speed. I also have a TP-link TX401 and a Cat 7 Ethernet cable, but I encountered a problem. When I switch to speed and duplex to set the speed to 10 Gbps instead of 1 Gbps, the connection drops and it reports that the network cable isn't connected. I've tried changing the Ethernet cable and switching the network card to a different PCIe slot, but nothing has changed.

This plug is connected to a device that operates at an auto-speed setting. When enabled, it runs at the optimal speed for performance, which matches the highest achievable rate.

Vérifiez si votre routeur prend en charge 10 Gbps. Est-ce que votre appareil peut accéder à cette vitesse ?

It connects to my MSI Z390 Tomahawk board via the PCIe 3.0 x4 port, and when I enable auto mode it reaches 1 Gbps.

What's connected at the other end of the cable? Have you tried different cables? CAT 7 isn't an Ethernet standard, so it's best to avoid those types.

On the other hand, my router supports up to 10 Gbps as well, and the Cat 7 cable I own does too. I've also used a different cable before, but it didn't work.

Are those the numbers for your router or your internet speed? Typically, most routers don’t offer an uneven connection (higher data out, lower in).
