Could it make sense to offer a GTX 960 with warranty plus 100 euros compared to a GTX 780 with warranty?

When examining the overall FPS improvement across all titles, the change is quite noticeable, which makes sense given that the 970 serves as a direct successor to the 780, similar to how the 980 outperformed the 780Ti. Don't overlook DSR (http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technolo...orted-gpus), which enables the 780 to maintain its performance further—evident here with a 14 FPS advantage (52 to 38) in FO4.
And the 19 FPS lead in Mad Max at 1440p (58 to 39)
In The Division, even the 770 2GB maintains an edge on high settings @1600p, with the 780 ahead by 7 frames versus the 960 (36 vs 29).
I wouldn't bother. The 900 series is significantly quicker than the 700 series. Therefore, the 780 is merely a few frames faster than a 960, often providing just 4-5fps more at 1080p. It would be wiser to invest in another 960 for crossfire and gain a substantial performance boost. This would allow you to wait up to a year until AMD Vega and NVidia Pascal release their gaming cards.
The comparison shows significant gains in performance, though it might cost more money. If budget isn't a concern, choosing the trade would be a good option. The 780 cards are very strong and will outperform the 960.
If Nvidia doesn't back Kepler, check out this link http://www.babeltechreviews.com/nvidia-f.../view-all/. I used a 780 over 960, which is nearer to the 970 performance level.
Not when playing at 1080p.
Yes, it works,

I looked into some improved benchmarks from anandtech.

The 780 appears to perform better. I also reviewed comparisons between 960SLI and 780, and the 780 tends to win at 1080p more often. 960SLI sometimes wins too. The result varies by game and SLI performance.
I'll repeat what I said before. A lateral move and losing money. I think it's best to wait. The 960 can still play at 1080p until Pascal or Vega is released.

The 780 appears to perform better. I also reviewed comparisons between 960SLI and 780, and the 780 tends to win at 1080p. The 960SLi sometimes does. It really depends on the game and how effective it is with SLI.
I’ll repeat what I said before. A lateral move and losing money—bet I’ll wait. The 960 can still play at 1080p for now until Pascal or Vega comes out.
Are you referring to the situation where a stock GTX 780 outperforms an EVGA GTX 960 SSC at 1080p? In that case, GTA V on very high quality is a terrible 24FPS on the 960 while it’s 48FPS on the 780 at 1080p?

The 780 is definitely a better card; this isn’t about 780Ti or 980.

Yes, it is,

What made you reference a 1440p benchmark? I mentioned 1080p...
