Corsair or G. Skill - a choice between two options.
Hey everyone, I'm planning to assemble a gaming PC and checking out the components. I have a few RAM options to consider:
1) CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16
2) CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C18
3) G.skill TridentZ Neo 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16
4) G.skill TridentZ Neo 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C16
Which one should I pick? The prices vary a lot, and I'm curious about how they compare in performance.
It seems like you're comparing four options, noting that two are also decent. Would you like to discuss which ones stand out?
On AMD I’d usually avoid Corsair since it doesn’t seem to deliver the maximum performance they promise.
1) Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 RAM 3200MHz C16 (RM729 ~ 168 USD)
2) Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 RAM 3600MHz C18 (RM789 ~ 182 USD)
3) G.skill TridentZ Neo 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 RAM 3200MHz C16 (RM499 ~ 115 USD)
4) G.skill TridentZ Neo 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 RAM 3600MHz C16 (RM799 ~184 USD)
I share the thoughts of @boggy77 and it also relies on the Ryzen processor you have. I believe a CPU from the 2000 series might struggle with 3600 MHZ RAM at that frequency. You may need to run them at a lower speed for better stability.
