Considering Nvidia GeForce versus Radeon
Here is your setup description rewritten:
I’m using the following components for my system:
Processor: Ryzen 7 3700X with 4.2 MHz multi-core
Motherboard: ROG STRIX X570-F Gaming
Graphics Card: Radeon 6600 with 8GB RAM
Power Supply: The one linked on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C1JKHPNH?ref...tle_1&th=1)
Storage: Two M2 or Fast Crux SSDs
Display: A 34-inch Spectru monitor with 3440 x 1440p resolution at 1ms refresh rate and 1500Hz refresh
I’m considering upgrading to a GeForce card from this link:

Just because I prefer the official NVIDIA drivers and receive Dell SSDs
or this card

A chat assistant mentioned the Radeon model has about 30% more power than the GeForce version.
My main games include World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, Diablo 3, Vanguard Black Ops, and several AAA titles on Steam such as Marval Rivals and Stake. I aim to push graphics to maximum with Ray tracing in Ultra mode.
You can purchase the Asus RTX 5060 for $50 less, offering about 20% better performance than the RX 6700-xt.
Will it run smoothly at 3440 x 1440p using ultra settings and ray tracing?
I think I'll get the 3060, it's going to be a big upgrade for my current GPU. My motherboard doesn't have 5.0 PCIe, so I'm not sure it can support the new graphics card. It does work with DDR6, but I'm not sure I can afford a new system because RAM prices are now over 400 dollars and it wouldn't be worth it. I'll stick to my 330 budget.
The motherboard can work with a GPU that has GDDR6, GDDR7 or any other type of VRAM, as long as it has a PCIe connection (which all do). I’d consider purchasing an AMD 9060 or a NVidia 5060 at this price point; the 6700xt and 3060 are older models and not ideal these days.
I wouldn't focus on the RTX 3060 since, aside from DLSS, it's only a minor upgrade compared to your RX 6600 with little impact on performance.
Instead, I'd aim for an RTX 5060 with 8GB at roughly $300-350, as it typically offers about 65% better speed than your current model.
For a 1440p ultra wide screen, the RX 9060 XT 16GB might be worth it if you can stretch your budget to $380-400, providing a 75-80% performance boost and eliminating VRAM constraints with its larger 16GB memory.
You could also plan to upgrade later to a newer or refurbished 5700X, 5800X/XT, or opt for a more affordable 5600 or 5600X if you prefer saving costs. Avoid the 5500 and 5700 non-X series processors along with any G-series CPUs.
Your power supply is working well, but I recommend considering the cost of purchasing an 9060 XT with 16GB. Current cards in the $300-400 range won’t handle ultra performance at 1440p ultrawide, especially with more than 8GB VRAM, which will only last longer. Some games either don’t run properly or require lower graphics settings when using 8GB VRAM, and this situation is unlikely to improve over time.
