Mine performs adequately at 1440p ultra in most games, but with a 16GB system the VRAM problem seems exaggerated. It’s better to play on high rather than ultra since the visual difference is negligible even in static frames. People should understand that VRAM used and allocated are different things. For instance, I recently played BO4 and it was consuming about 12GB of allocated VRAM.

I don't believe the OP would benefit most from a 3060 since they appear to be getting older now. It's interesting that you can still purchase new 3060 cards, even though it was released more than four years ago.

The discussion is becoming more intense and isn't really aiding the original poster in making a choice. They've already chosen the RTX 5060, and I support that decision because it seems they don't want or can't afford more, so the debate isn't very useful.

I would have recommended the RX 9060 XT with 8GB of VRAM, as it fits their budget, but its average performance is quite similar to the RTX 5060 and it doesn't handle RT titles as effectively. I'd also say the RX 9060 XT is a bit overpriced compared to the RTX 5060.

Honestly, if your GPU budget is just $330, you're likely going to lower settings already. Spending another $70-100 for double the VRAM and potentially doubling the FPS (depending on the game) of the RX 6600 might not be worth it for the RX 9060 XT unless you really need extra VRAM for your games. The RTX 5060 works well enough for most users who don't prioritize top-tier graphics.
