so this is a really dumb question i have all my hardware and am currently waiting for a copy of windows 10 to get here, and i was thinking in the meantime i might as well put together the rig so it's ready to go when windows arrives. however, before i do that i want to check if there are any problems that could arise if you build the system before the OS is ready. (sorry if this is the wrong category to be posting this in as well)

Create it, launch it, and dive into the bios to verify component status.

You can generate a Windows 10 installer from the official Microsoft site. Download the software, build a bootable USB using the version you purchase, and simply insert the serial number once it arrives. This process is completely legal.

Set up Linux or activate an unactivated Windows 10 version temporarily. Ensure everything functions correctly and confirm both choices are entirely free.

considered purchasing the code digitally rather than a physical version. using Windows until you obtain the key will prevent activation, which means certain features won't work until you enter the key.

You can adjust the background by right-clicking the image you wish and choosing to set it as the background.

Read your message again. When you're using a Windows version that isn't turned on, you won't be able to modify the background.

guess i should have mentioned this initially, but i don't have a flash drive big enough for the windows installer (never have needed them before) and the copy i'm waiting for is actually from a friend, they're just being slow that said, there aren't any problems with building the system before having an OS?
