What budget are you considering? Do you have a matching board ready? I’m not interested unless it’s a 12100 or an r5 5500.

AMD R5 2600x is clearly an AMD model. It might also hinge on your intended applications. A few uncommon scenarios could favor Intel options instead.
If you must choose between AMD and Intel, I’d pick the i5 8400. I’m not entirely clear on what was happening at AMD back then, but even with their latest manufacturing process and double the thread count, Intel still outperforms the 2600X in most scenarios. I’ve also used several Dell Optiplex systems running the 8400, which function flawlessly with Windows 11—provided you have at least 8GB RAM and an SSD.
