I'm wrapping up a fresh build tomorrow and unsure about handling the Windows install. I have a backup of Windows 8.1 ready for an upgrade via the upgrade tool, and I’m curious if there are downsides to moving from Win8.1 to Win10. While having a free upgrade is convenient, a lot of old Windows 8.1 files might complicate things, possibly making me consider buying a newer version. I’d appreciate any advice on potential issues with the upgrade process. Thanks!

Avoid any issues by turning off the "Spying" feature in Microsoft, and note that upgrading will require more time.

It seems the whole operating system is flawed due to its frequent issues.

If I were facing that situation, I’d choose to set up Windows 7 on the system. There’s no reason to struggle with an upgrade when a stable version is available.

The main change involves more effort and longer duration. It's necessary to complete all updates for version 8.1 before proceeding, which requires time. You must perform the update initially, followed by a clean installation. Despite this process, the final outcome remains identical.

I strongly dislike 10 ATMs (really annoying), I’d go for 8.1 or 7 and upgrade them next year!

You mentioned "bugs" but didn't specify which ones. Could you clarify the context or the specific issues you're referring to?

Chose to purchase a version because it offers improvement over the current 8.1. 10 will be updated into earlier Windows releases instead of installing separately. Appreciate your input!
