Looking into upgrade options for your setup. For light gaming and HTPC, moving from 2x i5 2500 to higher-end models like 3300x or similar could be a good move. The price jump from 2x to 3300x is minimal, and 3300x offers performance close to a 7700k. Upgrading in about five years seems reasonable. The 4400g model acts as a backup, but it’s mainly for future-proofing if you don’t have a GPU. Having 6/12 cores consistently delivers solid performance, though upgrades might be limited unless something critical fails. It’s probably better to upgrade both to the same generation rather than mixing models, unless you have specific needs.

Please share your budget for both pcs and the additional specifications you're considering. Also, let me know what your own budget is.

I managed that through the QR code scanner. It’s much easier than trying to read the message manually.

For gaming and HTPC purposes, I'd pick 3600 + 4400G. The first part runs games smoothly, and the second part uses an iGPU so you skip needing a dedicated graphics card. You might still want Intel for video streaming since some programs don't support AMD GPU hardware encoding.

No, AMD hasn't released the 4400G yet. You're not stupid, lmao!

clearly evident, these values range from 120 to 200 for a CPU—no problem at all

The other details you're referring to are important because while the 3600 is top-notch, it doesn't always match perfectly with every other component. Each CPU has its ideal setup, so knowing the specs helps ensure compatibility and optimal performance.

I'm not sure what prompted your question. These components are quite limited, and they don't match the performance of a standard AMD APU. The specs you mentioned won't fit on a new setup, so it's worth considering if that matters to you.
