I currently own a 2070 super with 3600x resolution. Online reports suggest 5600x and 5800x may drop around $100 due to new CPUs. I’m unlikely to upgrade my GPU or go beyond 1080p for the next couple of years. My goal is stable FPS close to 144, especially for competitive gaming. If I can get the 5600x at $200 or the 5800x at $300, which would give a better FPS gain with my current setup? I might be able to sell my 3600x for $100 if I upgrade.
