These businesses collect all the details about you, whether you use their products or not. It’s smart to take advantage of that information. Those who believe privacy is safe just because they don’t have an account are mistaken. It’s nice in theory, but it doesn’t actually help.

No problem at all. I didn't mention anything about not having an FB account. If you use your FB login for the VR device and let FB access your data, like location and usage details, then you're sharing that information. Providing your location, time spent, and game activity gives them more insight into what you're doing.

And they plan to sell it to advertisers so they can refine their ad targeting—I won’t even notice it anymore. Understanding which games I play and how long helps push more of these types forward, which aligns with my goals. I’m comfortable if FB sees I dedicate most of my time to the Quest in Virtual Desktop, as this shows the value of this use case and warrants serious attention for ongoing support and enhancements.

I’m sharing just my thoughts on something unrelated—this thread isn’t about FB privacy. Still, I appreciate everyone’s input. I wasn’t too clear about my stance, so thank you all for your help in deciding my next move toward VR. I’ll explore the games and see what they offer. This includes @Midevil Chaos. Just because I shared my opinion doesn’t mean I don’t value the effort behind the comments. I’m mainly trying to show that I care about privacy concerns, as it can make people feel safer on these topics.

Clarify your perspective—being in tech definitely counts for you. Still, it helps to understand how big players or public scrutiny might influence things. And if there’s solid proof of election manipulation by Facebook, authorities won’t hesitate to act. Just a heads-up about the paywall on this piece.
