Hey, can someone assist me with boosting my laptop's speed? My machine has an i3-4005u, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, and a 320GB hard drive.

You can swap the spinning hard drive for an SSD to speed things up, but you can't change the CPU or increase RAM beyond what's available for non-gaming work. For a quicker laptop, you'll likely need to get one that's faster.

Performance for browsing and office tasks – it's already at its limit. Gaming doesn't improve it much. It's just a 13-year-old budget laptop.

Yeah brother, I did what you said. But I can't play the latest games like new ones. I managed to get through Assassin's Creed Revaluations, but with a 17 average it might go further. I don't know how to improve.

It was a weak pc when it came out over a decade ago. You can't make it faster. There is nothing left to do. Its just too old and low end. If you need more performance you simply need a bdtter pc

It seems unlikely given the specs of your system. Even though you have an i7-4785t with 16GB RAM and an SSD, there’s no GPU available. You mentioned installing a good power supply but still can’t find one. Switching to an AM5 socket might help, but it would likely take around a year to resolve.

What specifications are you looking for? These models cost between 30-40$ for 30-40GB and around 50$ for 8GB. They run much better than an i3 and can be updated to make all cores hit 3.2GHz.

It seems those units lack a PCIe port, making it impossible to install a GPU.
