With all the issues I've heard about 13th Gen intel, are they a good buy now after the patches or would AMD be better? I usually lean more towards intel, but only because generally at the time of buy they are the better option. Or wait for 14th gen? xD P.S I'm just interested in the poll results xD

You'd need a crystal ball to provide an answer, which means the decision is obvious for me.

The 14th is done, just grab the Amd.

The situation revolves around Raptor Lake, featuring many 13th and 14th generation chips, with some lower-end models possibly including Alder Lake. We're still unsure if the patches addressed the issues fully. For new PCs, I wouldn't suggest Intel just yet until we're sure the fixes are solid. This advice may shift by the end of this year. Arrow Lake is expected to launch at the end of October, which could influence what's considered the best value. Zen5x3d will likely follow shortly after. Given the recent agesa, Windows updates, and microcode adjustments, revisit the situation soon to assess how these rapid changes have impacted everything.

This discussion has never appeared in every New Builds and Planning forum thread. Are you even considering buying or selling? Just for fun?

That’s not what this process is about, partner. I’m taking it at face value and acknowledging you’ve been avoiding the issue. Right now, the consensus leans toward AMD’s 7th generation, as it offers the best balance of reliability and speed.

Intel handles many tasks well and remains stable, though we don't have a clear picture of its current condition. It's likely fixed, but we can't be sure with certainty.

Well, the Intel 13th and 14th generation chips seem to be mainly for top-tier models. If you weren’t getting an i7, the stability issue doesn’t matter much. Plus, it really depends—you haven’t shared a specific scenario, budget details, or anything else. If one version was clearly superior, it wouldn’t be available in stock.

Thanks everyone. I thought this was the situation but just wanted to confirm and ensure I didn’t overlook any updates.
