The Pentium model offers improved performance since most games gain little from multiple cores. A single or dual core with a solid clock speed would suffice for the titles mentioned.

The main two processors lack impressive clock rates. Gameplay gains from higher frequencies. Both chips might handle GTA V similarly.

It seems the core2 quad can be overclocked and will outperform a Pentium in many cases. I understand the drawbacks of the Pentium, but its cost is justified.

Xeon E5450 is available at affordable prices if you're looking to save money. Make sure to check motherboard and chipset compatibility before purchasing. Keep in mind that certain games may no longer work due to missing instruction sets on this processor.
